I just got back from the lovely Colorado, US, where the nice guys at Tough Guy Productions and Pro Velo Support hired me as official photographer for the Kona Sleepless in the Saddle 24hr mountain bike race. I’ve realised an event like this is as much a test of endurance for a professional photographer as it for the bike riders – we have the same problems with the weather, our gear failing, dealing with sleep deprivation.
