Girls shredding (some surprisingly well)

As luck would have it, my first photo job out here was for an all-girl mountain bike club called the Muddbunnies – it’s not every day you get the chance to ride with a bunch of ladies (normally my work is an full-on sausage-fest), so naturally I jumped at the chance. Turns out awesome local magazine Momentum were doing an article on everyday city riders trying mountain biking for the first time, and wanted to come along for a beginner ride, shoot some photos and basically learn about what it’s like riding a bike off road. Definite star of the show was mag journo Bonnie, who turned up on her commuter bike, complete with slick tyres and full mudguards, then proceeded to ride the slippy trails faster than many I’ve seen on 6″ travel bikes. All with no off-road biking experience. Bonnie, you rock!
