Comments are on

What started as a sneaky way to get Google more at home on this site, and therefore show me in search queries, has actually turned into something ‘real’ people read, amazingly.  I’ve had a few requests to turn on comments so all and sundry can also make their mark, so I did.  Be kind.

    Dan,

Do you know of any other mountain bike photographers that have their own blog? I found your site through Seb Rogers. Have really enjoyed stopping in to see what each of you have been up to.

Hey Scott, thanks for reading! I’m not sure of any others out there, although there must be some. Seb’s pretty much got it wrapped up anyway ;-)

you’d be surprised how many other photo blogs I have added too my bloglines RSS reader.. upwards of 200 I believe. Most people get a quick glance and no comment though.

  4. i herd something like 5% of your site traffic will comment. i have like 200 comments on 3 posts, yet i have over 200 posts.

mind you they are web application’s and people are asking for help or changes. but its still interesting how people don’t really want to shoot the…. wind.

and interestingly enough, Google sees you as favorable if you have more in and hour traffic linking to there sites that link to you, so me commenting puts a link on your page to mine, and then Google crawls through and presto its on my site too, just as every time i link to you or some one else it boosts your ranking.

its also a matter of people knowing you name. search for adam patterson and i’m like 2nd from the top, look for adam and i give up looking. search for studio lounge and i’m second from the top.

i have contemplated moving my blog to my named domain to increase my own fame :)
