Competitioned out

So the last couple of weeks I’ve mainly been busy with two of the main competitions of the year (at least in the BC freeride / DH scene at least), Crankworx and the Bearclaw Invitational.  You know what?  Two weeks of competition is absolutely my limit; there’s only so much standing around on a hill / hiking down a course I can do before I start to go a little crazy and run screaming for the nearest bike-free destination.  Not that I’m complaining about the work you understand, but it does make me appreciate actually riding my bike that much more.  I’m spinning the positive here.

I’ve already written way, way too much about the whole “ordeal” in my daily reports for Bikemagic, so here’s a few of my second-favourite (very best ones to mags, natch) shots in lieu of any more lip-flapping.

    Hi Dan

Love your work. Just a question: what are the purple blooms on the tilt-shift photo?

  2. Dan says:

They’re actually just that – purple blooms of a flower that was right in front of me. Here they’re not doing much, but in the ‘A’ shots I have I used a whole bunch of ‘em to fill in the frame and bump up the ‘art’ factor…
